When creating this kind of web applications, simple and accessible templates are used to create an independent product.
The following types of story map templates were used: Story Map Cascade, Story Map Series, and Story Map Swipe. Each of them has its own distinctive features, so the choice of the type of template is due to the peculiarities of the content of web applications and the further direction of their use.

The information system is built on the principle of “systems in a system”, that is, other cartographic web applications were built into separate tabs of the system, made using templates of history maps. The resource consists of thematic sections devoted to the display and analytical description of the current state, spatio-temporal dynamics and trends of changes in the land fund of the Brest region and its administrative districts.
The system structure consists of a given set of tabs and a main window. The drop-down tab contains the name of the described direction of research and introductory textual accompaniment. The main window is presented in the form of maps, diagram, image or other built-in application.
